Emotions can be a big problem for little people! Society sends mixed messages about reacting to anger, sadness, and fear. This story shows a family working together to overcome overwhelming emotions by offering comfort through love and scripture.
“Help! A monster ate my brain and now I’m mad!”
I want to stomp and clomp and scream. I want to throw toys and slam doors.
So I tell Mommy, “I’m mad!”
“I’m sorry, my little snugglesaurus,” Mommy says and sweeps me up in her warm arms. Even when I’m mad, she still wants to hug me.
Then we snuggle up on the comfy couch and Mommy whispers, “Let’s eat that monster’s brain!”
She tells me, “When you’re mad, remember God will listen. He can help you control your temper, and think of nice words to make anger disappear.”
And then we chomp, chomp, chomp, and eat that monster's brain.
