Our God is awesome. So are His deeds around the world.

Everyday with Our Awesome God combines inspiring, informative, and encouraging accounts of God’s work around the world with scriptural passages and insightful thoughts. It contains recent, true stories of how people are experiencing the work of Jesus Christ in their lives.

The book consists of sixty daily devotions. Each devotion provides further proof of the amazing work of our awesome God. It may be read in one sitting or as a daily devotional. The book provides glimpses of a God who has a heart for the nations and encourages you to join Him in His mission. The main purpose of the book is to make known among the nations what God has done.

Make known among the nations what he has done.

One man writes:One night I was reading the gospel of John. As I began reading about Jesus and his beautiful, sinless, holy, amazing, miraculous life, I couldn’t stop. It was early in the morning when I finished reading. I realized I had been deceived all my life! I once had many rules to follow …, I now have a relationship with God.”

Jesus Christ brings seekers from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. They become sons and daughters of our great God. Individuals, families, villages, cities and nations are transformed by the love of Jesus Christ.

I am thankful to God who inspired me to bring out this book.

This is written so that you may spend time with our great God from this day on forever; and that you will be blessed as Abraham was in the heavenly realms; and that you will become wise with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD. May His kingdom come.

Day 7

They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

[1 Thes. 1:9, 10]

From idols to the true living God

Paul was an instrument used of God to take the good news to non-Jews who were basically idol-worshippers. Through Paul’s ministry they forsook their idols, and started following Christ. Today there are still people in the world who worship the spirits and demons. God wants to set them free from their bondage to evil spirits.

According to Missions Insider, 2 Feb. 2011, for centuries, the poor tribals of the Bandarban Hills, Bangladesh have been living in terror of the spirits, and they relied on witchcraft and idols until a mission brought the gospel to them. The missionaries established Christian churches, and schools, and brought Mango groves that raised their standards of living. Now there are 2000 mango trees, and more than 45 house fellowships among

6 of the 11 tribes.

Prayer: Dear God, we thank you for the leading of the Holy Spirit all over the world. Thank you for your concern for people. Inspire more people to work among such tribes. Amen.

Day 25

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. [Psalm 32: 8]

Obedience to Jesus

We serve a God who provides direction and guidance in our lives and we are asked to follow Him in obedience. Jesus said: “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life.” The following miracle shows how God protected Matthew from a disaster.

On Wednesday, 1 August 2007 the highway I35-W bridge disaster occurred in Minnesota, USA. It was 6:05 pm and the Interstate Bridge that joined I-35 with the city of Minneapolis suddenly broke apart and fell into the Mississippi River.

Matthew was praying and talking to the Lord, and the Lord gave him a vision. In the vision the bridge started to snap and broke through. He saw two cars go off the edge into the Mississippi. Then, after the vision Matthew said, 'What is that all about, Lord?' God told him to STOP. He was 100 feet away from the bridge and he stopped. And then the Lord said, 'Look.' That's when the bridge snapped, broke down and crashed into the river. Matthew was in a daze, safely sitting in his car and thanking the Lord for protecting him.

We need to wait on the LORD every moment of our life. We must have an intimate relationship with Him so that we can hear from Him and obey Him.

Prayer: Dear God, may we always be ready to listen to you and be obedient. Thank you for your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Day 38

The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

[Habakkuk 2:14]

God-given dreams

God gave Joseph dreams. When Joseph's brothers heard about his dreams, they asked, "Will you actually rule us?" They were jealous of him, and one day they sold him to be a slave. Joseph was faithful to his master. Later Joseph was put in prison on false charges, but he patiently endured his suffering and kept dreaming. After some years, Joseph became a ruler in Egypt. When his brothers came to him to buy food and bowed before him, the dreams of years earlier came true.

As in Joseph's time, God still gives people dreams - dreams that come while we sleep and dreams that lead us towa
