When we were children in the Oklahoma hills, one of our pastimes was to pick the petals from a sunflower bloom or a daisy, while saying with each petal, “She loves me, she loves me not.” Thankfully, we don’t have to do those kinds of things to determine whether or not God loves us, because there is a way of knowing.
