My poems will take your heart from winter to summer, from Jesus’ birth to His death and resurrection, from your worries to your happiness and from your tears to your smiles. I hope as you read these poems you will call the Lord into your heart as I do and follow along the path that He has for you. As I sit at my table, early in the morning, I feel the Holy Spirit guiding my words And I start writing. I truly feel that this is God’s gift, and He wants me to share it with you. Go to your quiet place and read The words so God can touch your Heart.

By John J. Hadley
On the tumultuous high seas, John Newton experienced the providential grace of God and, later when he was spiritually saved by God’s grace, wrote his personal testimony about God’s sovereign, saving grace in a hymn that the world knows as “Amazing Grace” Unforeseen by Newton, It has echoed across oceans to be heard, sung and played throughout many cultures for many generations. Its lyrics were penned in the late 18th century by a common man who was spiritually “lost” but, then, “found” by the grace of God. Its soul-searching lyrics, presented along with its heart-warming tune, is what makes this hymn so genuinely inspiring and represents the ineffable power of lyrical music to cross generations and cultures. Using the lyrics to “Amazing Grace” as a foundation, author, church musician and worship leader, John Hadley, has revealed their deep, rich, biblical meaning which is a pensive reflection of Newton’s practical theology—what he believed about and experienced from the marvelous grace of God. He was a prayerful and devoted student of the Bible and what he learned from the Bible and what he experienced from God’s marvelous grace is written into the lyrics of his hymns.

Poems of Inspiration and Prophecy is a moving collection of poems composed of uplifting spiritual messages from the Lord. Carla Edwards pieced together this unique work under the direction of God; He provided her with the ideas for the titles and topics of the poems, and then the words came freely to her. The messages are clear and concise, having the power to inspire anyone who reads them or hears them read aloud. From “Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places” to “Everybody in Such a Rush-Do You Know Where You Are Going To?,” Edwards considers everyday life and how we find comfort in God’s love and understanding. Poems of Inspiration and Prophecy provides a blessed reassurance that we don’t have to go through this life alone. “Poems of Inspiration and Prophecy … serves as a prophetic clarion call to men and women to live up to their potential.” —Evangelist Lisa Paul “I do truly believe that she has been bountifully blessed with these writings, which The Lord and Savior has given unto her.” —Founding Pastor Catherine Jackson

PRAISING HIM, presents an inspiring collection of heartfelt poetry written by Mary Johnson at eighty-nine. Between the ages of eighty and ninety, she wrote three books, covering them lovingly with wallpaper, so she could give them freely to everyone. “In Him”, was the first book to be published in 2012. “Praising Him” was written in 2003 and was her 2nd book. “Just Meditating”,will be published soon. Mary’s poetry shares her personal relationship with her Savior. Some poems simply give praise to the Lord; others tell touching stories. Many poems speak of Jesus’ cruel death on the cross. She told of looking forward to heaven and of being sure you are going there. She gave glory to God who created man and our miraculous bodies. She examines prophecies regarding the “end times”, always pointing to the Bible and Jesus’ example for our lives. Her lifetime of Bible study and love of the Scripture is evident in her poetry. Through this knowledge, she referenced her poetry to the passage that inspired it. Mary’s faith and dedication to Jesus was demonstrated through her life of service and giving to others. This example was an inspiration to her family, her numerous church friends and her community. Her family is blessed to be able to share their mother’s gift of poetry with you.

By Royce W. Wilkerson
Poet Royce Wilkerson’s philosophy on poetry is that it should be accessible—understood and enjoyed by everyone. In Sense and Nonsense, his new collection of verses that cover a wide range of subject matter, he has included many explanations for his various poems. True to the title of the work, there is sense about everyday life and nonsense that pokes fun at our daily lives. Find humor and practical living in poems that address topics such as searching for words to express your love for that special person or discovering how life can change with just a simple wink. Wilkerson also offers encouragement for your daily walk with Christ, exploring faith, honor, and duty; choices at the fork in the road; and the place to which one-step-at-a-time leads. The nonsense side of life is fully examined by his charming poems on the exasperating foibles of Old Men. Sense and Nonsense is a poetry collection that has something for everyone. Old Men and Their Naps For Old Men, few are the joys that remain, Except that sacred one they now obtain. They receive, as these golden years unwrap, That privileged birthright—their daily nap. The truth regarding Old Men and their naps: They get still, and into a coma they lapse. Impossible to wake, though his wife tries; You can’t wake someone just resting his eyes. At night, he often complains he can’t sleep And spends many restless hours counting sheep. This results in a mid-morning collapse, For which the best cure, of course, is more naps.
