Unable to follow Moses, a remnant of the Hebrew people flee westward from Egypt. After eluding treachery and enduring hardship, they finally find a home in West Africa. Among the treasured remembrances they carried was a star sapphire amulet, which becomes revered as a totem by later generations and eventually finds its way into the hands of Charlotte Lanover, an intelligent, capable teenage girl who yearns for a new adventure to take her away from the small-village missionary life her family leads. & n b s p ; & nbsp; The dark cloud of the Second World War hangs over the region, but the Lanovers do not feel it as a reality until it crashes down upon them and tears them apart. Charlotte is thrust from a pleasant afternoon of running with her father to running for her life from angry, armed soldiers, with the strange amulet as her only comfort and protection. & n b s p ; & nbsp; Harrowing trials along her journey require Charlotte to face her fears and look deeper into her faith. As she slowly restores her floundering relationship with God and grows closer to the people around her, she begins to wonder if her amulet is truly a gift from God or merely a reminder that God is always with her.

Sleepy Shoes is an exciting adventure which journeys into the world of the shoes who live in Hannah-Beth's closet. Each shoe explores active adventures in their respective genres. Each shoe, that is, except Sleepy Shoes. Sleepy Shoes are a pair of soft, fuzzy, and warm slippers who chose to spend their days lying around doing nothing but sleeping. All of the other shoes petition their friends to join them in their grand adventures, but they are all saddened at the lack of active choices displayed by these fuzzy slippers. We are allowed to witness the active adventures of the shoes and to revel in their positive consequences for their strong and active choices. For example, Ballet asks Sleepy Shoes to join her on a dancing adventure. She chooses to continue her adventure without Sleepy Shoes when they simply lie there and sleep, sleep, sleep, giving her no verbal responses and no feedback for her choice of active behavior. On her adventure, Ballet is inundated with accolades and floral gifts as she twirls, whirls, wiggles, and giggles during her dance recital. Thus it is with each shoe who approaches Sleepy Shoes with the promise of active adventures. Each shoe is met with the same nonresponsive and slothful attitude from their friends. And, each friend makes the decision to continue their adventure without Sleepy Shoes. Through their adventures, we are reminded that life is a series of choices and the benefits of active choices will shine in a life blessed.

She is my mother and I am the seventh child. Within these pages are two beautiful love stories and one woman’s struggle to model the woman in Proverbs 31.

Cardinal Baptista never thought he would witness the coming of the Antichrist-- the ‘’seabeast.’’ Yet, his interpretation of the book of Revelation indicated that the hierarchy of the Catholic Church would become a diabolical matrix. Furthermore, that biblical text suggested that the Israeli Prime Minister was the complicitous ‘landbeast.’’ Those two beasts, coupled with Satan-- the ‘’Dragon’’-- comprised the Unholy trinity. Who would believe this explanation? At the Papal inauguration, Cardinal Baptista compulsively committed a heinous crime which unwittingly fulfilled Revelation. Immediately, he was secretly imprisoned within the Tower of a secluded Vatican-owned villa just outside Rome. & n b s p ; & nbsp; The sequestered Cardinal was tormented by haunting memories from the last forty-two months pertaining to predictions from Revelation: an ineffective Papal Encyclical, seven calamities and a double murder in Jerusalem of ‘’two witnesses’’ to God. Other ominous events from that apocalyptic scripture occurred during his imprisonment: seven more disasters; forty-two months of thaumaturgical cures; construction of Jerusalem’s third Temple; appearance of the ‘’abomination of desolation’’ within that Temple; invasion of Israel by ‘’Gog’’ and the relationship of ‘’Armageddon’’ to Jerusalem-Israel. The Unforgivable Sin is a suspenseful and credible adaptation of the entire book of Revelation. Additional startling disclosures, biblically referenced, pertained to the bizarre origin and actual religion of the impious Antichrist. Can evil incarnate be defeated? In a cataclysmic world, Baptista optimistically awaits a new beginning-- the ‘’millennium.’’ This electrifying novel uniquely combines intelligible scripture, plausible fiction and verifiable scientific facts.

Amber and Thomas Nelson have a happy marriage, three young children, and loving family members nearby in their small, friendly community. Busy with Thomas’s small business and Amber’s commitment to being a stay-at-home mom, the two barely notice that they have fallen out of the habit of going to church, even though they both were raised as Christians. Now, four days before Christmas, Amber goes to the doctor with both hope and anxiety in her heart. Could she really be pregnant again? If she is, how will she and Thomas manage? Thomas, meanwhile, is at work at the garage he owns, even though he’s been experiencing chest pains off and on since the night before. At the young age of thirty-four, he half jokingly suspects Amber’s spicy meat loaf is giving him indigestion—but within a few hours he is in the hospital. What happens next gives Thomas a chance to reflect on his life: proud moments, missed opportunities, exciting experiences, and wrong choices. He reviews some happy times and realizes he wishes he’d done some things differently. What begins as an ordinary day becomes a turning point for Thomas and Amber in ways that surprise both of them. Unexpected but all-too-common life events force each of them to do some soul-searching and decide what’s truly important. But is it too late for them to share their secrets and experiences with each other and make some changes?
